This last year was a tough one for me and I found myself thinking about the 7 Principles a lot of the time. The more and more that I think about it I have come to the conclusion that while the whole setting aside a special time and place for a Chalica celebration is a great idea; we should also think of using part of Chalica in times of need. One of the things that is helping me get through this year is been to think of helping others. I spent a lot of time in solitude wanting to not connect with people and I found that I didn't seem to heal, but then I started to read one principles each day and do something to exemplify that principle. Nothing on a grade scale, just taking contacting a friend, or helping someone out. And finally I began to heal. There are still issues I am dealing with but I will take it just one day and one person at a time.
Welcome to our new viewers! I must admit I had to look up the Republic of Mauritius! Check down at the bottom left you will see I have added my Chalica Twitter feed. Please feel free to follow it and or this blog!

I was thinking that just like they say Christmas spirit can exist every day of the year so can Chalica spirit. I only recently learned about Chalica. It is such a creative and beautiful way to honor UUism and how it can lead to a new way of being in the world.
